Step 1: Quit Hive Agent
On the computer running the Hive Agent:
Mac: Locate the Hive icon in the status bar (top right). Right-click on the icon and select “Quit Hive Agent.”
Windows: Locate the Hive icon in the taskbar (bottom right). Right-click on the icon and select “Quit Hive Agent.”
Step 2: Uninstall the Previous Version
Remove the existing Hive application from your operating system:
Mac: Drag the Hive application from the Applications folder to the Trash.
Windows: Use the Add or Remove Programs feature in the Control Panel to uninstall Hive.
Step 3: Remove Directory and Contents
After uninstalling the application, delete the remaining Hive directory to ensure no residual files are left behind:
Mac:
Navigate to the following location and delete the folder:
/Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/Hive
Windows:
Navigate to the following location and delete the folder:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Hive
Step 4: Install Hive
After completing the steps above, you can proceed with a fresh installation of Hive. Refer to the Getting Started Guide for detailed installation instructions.
