Collaborating provides a revolutionary way to produce content in sync from anywhere in the world with your team. Here’s a guide on how to invite users and manage their roles within your studio.
Inviting a Collaborator
Invite via Email Method
Access the Share Modal: Open your studio and find the share button in blue, located in the top navigation bar. Click on the share button to bring up team modal, where you can manage invitations and access to your Studio.
Enter Email Addresses or Create a Link: In the modal, locate the field where you can input email addresses.Type in the email address of the person you wish to invite. For multiple invites, simply continue typing after adding the previous email address.
Assign Permissions: Next to each email field or within the modal, you'll find an option to assign a role to the invitee. Choose from admin, producer, or viewer depending on the level of access you wish to grant.
Send Invitations: Once all email addresses are entered and roles assigned, click the "Send Invite" button. Each invitee will receive an email with instructions to join your studio.
Invited users will need to accept the invitation by clicking a link in their email. They'll be prompted to log in or create a new account, but they will need to use the email they were invited with to successfully join the Studio.
Invite via Link Method
Inviting users via a link provides an easy way to allow your team to join your Studio. Note that with link invitations, you won't see the participants until they join your studio. This method allows for quick sharing but offers less control over individual user invitations compared to the email method, as rather than inviting a specific email, the link option allows any user to join via the link you created.
Access the Share Modal: Open your studio and find the share button in blue, located in the top navigation bar. Click on the share button to bring up team modal, where you can manage invitations and access to your Studio.
Create an Invitation Link: Within the modal, find and click the "Create Link" button. This action prepares a shareable invitation link.
Define Permissions for the Link: Choose the role you want to assign to anyone joining through the link: viewer, producer, or admin. This setting ensures that all users joining via this link have the appropriate level of access.
Copy Link: After setting the permission, click "Copy Link" to copy the invitation link to your clipboard.
Share the Link: Share this link directly with potential collaborators through your preferred method of communication (e.g., Slack, email, messaging platforms).
Note: Be aware that changing a link's permission will generate a new link and disable the existing link. If you shared a link previously before updating a permission, it will no longer work.
Additional Information
Invitation Limits: The number of collaborators you can invite is determined by your studio plan (e.g., up to five on free plans, ten on premium plans, and unlimited on pro plans).
Resending and Deleting Invitations: You can resend or delete pending email invitations. Deleting an invitation revokes the ability to join your studio.
Updating Permissions: Permissions for an invited user can be adjusted even after sending the invite, offering flexibility in role assignment.
Viewing Joining Users: For link invitations, the identity of users who join your studio will only be revealed after they've accepted the invite and joined.
