Browser Support

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Although this is optimized to work on most browsers, we recommend and officially support using Chrome.

To get full performance and enable all features, we also recommend making sure WebGPU is enabled in your browser. This helps optimize video renders and performance. For more details, check out the step by step tutorial to enable WebGPU.

Enabling WebGPU:

  1. Google Chrome:

    • Navigate to chrome://flags/.

    • Search for “WebGPU”.

    • Enable the flag titled “WebGPU”.

    • Restart Chrome for the changes to take effect.

  2. Firefox:

    • Currently, there might not be a direct flag for WebGPU as its support is experimental and subject to change. Check Mozilla's documentation or experimental features for updates.

  3. Safari:

    • Go to Safari > Preferences > Advanced and check the box at the bottom that says "Show Develop menu in menu bar".

    • In the Develop menu, select Experimental Features, and then check WebGPU if available.

  4. Edge:

    • Navigate to edge://flags/.

    • Search for “WebGPU” and enable it.

Enabling WebGL:

WebGL is usually enabled by default in modern browsers. If you encounter issues with WebGL:

  1. Check if WebGL is Enabled: Visit a WebGL test page or use a WebGL feature detection tool to check if WebGL is working in your browser.

  2. Update Graphics Drivers: Ensure your graphics card drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can prevent WebGL from working correctly.

  3. Enable Hardware Acceleration: In browsers like Chrome, Firefox, and Edge, ensure hardware acceleration is turned on in the browser's settings.

  4. Check Browser Settings: Some browsers may allow disabling WebGL. Ensure WebGL is not disabled in your browser's settings or flags page (similar to the WebGPU enabling process).
